It’s in the media every day. But you don’t need to read the news to know that mental health at work isn’t as good as it could be.

Mental health problems among staff pose a growing risk to employers. Yet the stigma attached to mental health still persists in many of today’s workplaces and a lot of employers are unaware of the extent of the problem and how to tackle it – meaning that employees are not getting the help and support that they need and organizations are suffering as a result.

We all have mental health, and work has a huge impact on whether it’s good or bad. Like you, I’ve had good and bad managers over the years, and I want to help you be one of the good ones. A massive part of this is being able to identify and have the confidence and skills to improve mental health at work.

Combining original drama, legal analysis, insights from business psychologists and mental health professionals, and stories from people with lived experience, this video course looks at common mental health problems such as stress, anxiety, and depression and their impact in the workplace and provides an introduction to what employers can do to support the mental well-being of their staff.

The question is, what can you do to improve it?

As a manager who wants their team to succeed, learning how to handle mental health issues effectively is a crucial part of being the best manager!
